Every diamond is rigorously sorted to its appropriate characteristics to derive the rational pricing through Venus Grading System.

Normally, the diamonds are sorted as per 4C's i.e. Color, Clarity, Carat Weight and Cut. But we realized the insufficiency in these basic factors to derive the rational pricing. To derive a perfect scientific grading decision, we have divided each stone in 13 color grades, 27 clarity grades, 5 basic cuts further subdivided into 92 sub-grades. In addition to these we have also introduced 5 Polish grades, 5 Symmetry grades, 11 Luster grades, 5 Fluorescence grades, 5 Shape appeal grades, Black Inclusion etc. Thus with all these characteristics different grade will be there with different permutation & combination.

In Diamond grading, the most challenging part is to maintain consistency. To achieve this, our sorters are made available more than 150 master stones to compare different Colors, Clarity grades, Fluorescence grades, Luster grades etc. Further to maximize their performance, we have implemented the productivity oriented incentive-linked wage system as the most effective measure of motivation.

Every grading and certifying lab has its own standards and specifications, for example, all SI1's or SI2's from different labs are different.

Obviously, when it comes to pricing, a stone of particular attribute is priced differently as per the standards of that laboratory. In fact, we found over years, that to narrow down the price difference and ensure rational pricing, further subdivision of cut, clarity and color grades was essential. Moreover, the complete evaluation of a diamond requires the rating of other important attributes like its Symmetry, Fluorescence, Black Inclusion, Shape Appeal etc. This is what we have tried and exactly done while developing VGS and which is why VGS has received amazing market acceptance the world over.
